Eva is a Norwegian/ Greek hybrid that sees curiosity as a full-time profession. She has lived in Norway, Sweden, Greece, UK (Scotland and England) as well as Australia and has travelled across four continents. Eva holds a Ph.D. in metabolomic analysis applied to anti-doping in sport, as well as 2 postdoctoral appointments from the Strathclyde University/ London College of Fashion (UK), and the Karolinska Institute (Sweden) within medicine and health. Basically, from putting endurance trained athletes on treadmills, to making cosmetics with bee venom to cutting up fat tissue to understand diabetes/obesity.
Eva has volunteered at TEDxStockholm as a Community Team Lead, and later as Production Team Lead (2020-2021) where she and her team organised the first-ever digital event for the organisation in May 2020. A year later, she led the digital salon ‘Storytelling through Photography’ where the team launched the first-ever community photo competition! She has also been an elected Board Member (2021-2022) where she was involved in fundraising activities (such as the Hack for Earth 2022 partnership). At the moment, Eva is an elected Election Committee member scouting for members for the 2023-2024 board.
Creating moments for our community to engage, learn and just be curious is at the heart of what motivates and drives Eva. There is absolutely no limit to the amount of cool and inspiring things we can do together!
